The Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Anambra State has announced its maiden award of scholarships to 19 students.

The Foundation which was founded in 2016 is a non-profit organisation that promotes education, health, empowerment and charity activities. Its President, Dr Onyebuch Ifediora, made the disclosure on Wednesday in a statement signed and made available to Authority.

According to the statement, 15 of the benefitting students are in various secondary schools while four others are undergraduates in higher institutions. Ifediora said the foundation currently focuses on beneficiaries from Anambra East Local Government Area of the state but will expand its scope to cover other parts of the state and country very soon.

He said the four undergraduates, who met the criteria will receive renewable annual financial support of N50, 000 each under the Cyfed undergraduate scholarship initiative of the Foundation.
On the other hand, the Foundation said it awarded expense-free WAEC examinations to the 15 junior and senior secondary school students under its Ifedioramma Okafor Memorial Secondary School Academic (IFOMSSA) initiative.
